Description

Here's a rare one for you ink bottle gurus......1882 Smith's Perpetual Calendar ink bottle. Nice aqua color and still retains the original Days of the Week brass band around the top. Stands approx 3 1/4 inches tall and approx 2 1/4 inches in diameter at the base. Has Patent April 11th 1882 on the base. Not much out there in the interwebs about this ink bottle, posted it on the Book of Faces on some bottle group general consensus was one guy saw one 40 years ago......so take that for what you will, you guys looking at it now are probably the same dudes that saw it on that FB group. Condition is as photographed with just some wear as to be expected from age and use such as small scuffs, dings, light scratches, dirt, dust, etc etc. Has a couple small fleabites on the rim. Pretty crude glass with some bubbles and imperfections. Be the only kid on the block to have this in your ink bottle collection and be the envy of all your bottle collecting buddies. Don't worry about the price, if it bothers you, you can surely go out and buy another one......not really.....and besides it's only money, you can't take it with you and just think of how happy you will be to own it. It is offered AS-IS and that means no returns for any reason whatsoever so please study all of the photos closely and make your own assessment of condition and to make sure that this item suits all of your needs as the pictures are part of the description and are of the actual item you will receive. US shipping only, no international. Will be securely packed and shipped in a box. I usually ship the next business day unless I'm tired or don't feel like it then it'll be a day or two....I work a real job, eBay is not my job. I don't do free shipping because I'm not Amazon, I'm just a dude selling some junk trying to make a few bucks to cover the astronomical cost of my home heating oil bill, I use the actual shipping cost and if that is too high for you, don't buy my stuff and go complain to your postmaster. FYI.....the USPS has been really slow lately, not my fault if it takes longer than expected. There will not be any Best Offer on this item, I'm not Monty Hall and this isn't "Let's Make A Deal"......thanks for looking.
